Dr. Sudha Kanthan, M.D., FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician with more than 30 years of experience caring for children and families. She completed medical training in India and pediatric residency at Baystate Medical Center. Dr. Kanthan is passionate about supporting children’s emotional well-being and building relationships with families. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Dr. Sudha Kanthan, M.D., FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician with more than 30 years of experience caring for children and families. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology at the National College of India in 1966, and earned her medical degree from Mysore Medical School in India in 1973. She continued her training with a focus on child psychiatry at the University of Connecticut in Farmington from 1976 to 1977, followed by her pediatric residency at Baystate Medical Center from 1977 to 1980, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive pediatric care.
Dr. Kanthan is deeply passionate about pediatrics and is dedicated to supporting both the physical and emotional well-being of her patients. She values clear communication with children and their families and finds great fulfillment in watching her patients grow, develop, and thrive over time.
Originally from India, Dr. Kanthan is fluent in English and Hindi. She has two children and four grandchildren. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She has been part of the practice since October 1992 and takes pride in building lasting relationships with the families she serves.
